Creating momentum for next steps

 Why again presenting?

First of all: it is a moment to celebrate your succes and also a moment to reflect: is there anything we should o different or better? What can we learn?

You need to keep momentum to keep improving; not to fall back in the ‘we are very busy’ mode. This may seem obvious, and maybe not necessary, however over and over we see organisations stop after the first result. Why would you? Go and grasp the next opportunity!

Final presentation; start of the next process?

In this last presentation of this team, you are encouraged to make a proposal for the next improvement. What is your suggestion? Which process would you recomment to improve next? You just learned how to do it so now take the opportunity to do it once more! 

 The value of a good sensei (Teacher/Guide) 

Maybe you do not feel confident enough to start again, with a fresh team on a new process.

Don’t worry: I can guide you through also for the next proces(ses). Since you did learn already how it works I can make you a special offer:

What should be in the presentation?

Who should be attending?

Make sure to invite at least:

  • The responsible management
  • People working in this process
  • Everybody that participatet and helped in your workshop
  • Other people that may be affected by this change
  • People that might be interested in this type of work (your future teammembers?)

What should you present?

  • a brief overview what you did, starting with a description of the reason (problem) you started with, the assignment, and the actions you took: step by step (don’t loose yourselves in details; it is an overview!)
  • A before – after comparison in actual and percentual values
  • Your teams ‘lessons learned’
  • Your proposal how to continue
  • Ask for a formal dismiss of your task by your management
  • Let the management know whether you are open for a new assignment
